One of my ultimate favourite designers, Oscar De La Renta is opening a store on Mount St, London. This is so exciting! His designs are absolutely beautiful and I can go and have a wishful look at the stunning dresses and accessories...

And do I even have to mention the Bridal Department.... wow!!!

Falling for Pre Fall 13...

The problem with the Pre-Fall collections, is they always show during the colder winter months... thus, making me lust for new pieces to add to my current winter closet, instead of having to wait! I'm insanely impatient.

One thing that the Pre-Fall collections are super handy for is to help plan future purchases. A lot of the styles here, are very similar to current AW12 and SS13... perfect for building a transeasonal wardrobe.

These collections really seemed to flow on effortlessly from the trends this winter and the upcoming trends for SS13, as well as containing many 'Essential Wardrobe' pieces; which makes it super easy to build a classic and 'trend-led' wardrobe.

As well as the classic pieces, a few recurring styles that caught my eye were:

Monochrome, stripes, panelling, leopard print, sports luxe, bomber jackets, peplum, deconstruction, leather, oversized crombie coats, suiting...

A few of them have been around for a while now (peplums / sports luxe) but it seems these are the things to invest in now over Spring/Summer that will take you through to next winter.

I will definitely be investing in a few of these styles!

Denim Dress

The New Year is upon us and it's time to look ahead and plan my purchases for the first half of the year.

As always, I am keeping to my Essentials List, but adding the odd classic along the way. I'm a huge denim fan, pretty much live in jeans and I'm on the hunt for the perfect denim shirt. I'm seriously lacking in some versatile day dresses at the moment. So, after spending lots of time on Pinterest, style sites and blogs over Christmas, there was one item that I craved...

Topshop Short sleeve dress / Topshop denim shift dress / Topshop Denim dress

Unfortunately, the best I could find available at the moment (due to the sales) were all from Topshop.  However, this is not too unfortunate as there is a fab selection of styles and they are all purse friendly!

Perfect in summer, teamed with neon, white, bare legs and summer sandals/ankle boots OR winter with tights and a leather jacket.

Here's to 2013...

2012 was a whirlwind of a year...

With finishing my degree, moving back to London and jumping feet first in to the big bad career world; I've not had much time to just relax. 

This time last year, I made my New Year Plan (here)... I don't make resolutions, never have, never will I'm afraid; I do however, make goals!

Goals for 2012:

1. To graduate with a First - CHECK!
2. To get a good job once graduated - CHECK!
3. To look after my health/skin/hair etc - CHECK!
4. To get my tattoo - NOT YET...
5. To go on Holiday - CHECK!
6. To carry on building my wardrobe of clothes & accessories - CHECK!

I nearly fulfilled all my goals for this year and number 4. will be added to my list for 2013. 

As it worked so well last year, I have some new goals for 2013.

Goals for 2013:

1. To re-decorate the house 
2. To get a tattoo
3. To reach my goal weight/body (healthily)
4. Organise my finances - after 4 years of uni, this is a must! I aim to be super frugal this year, you might even find me at a few Car Boot sales!
5. To take part in DRYATHALON - I signed up today to raise money for Cancer Research, no alcohol/fizzy drinks for January - my page is here.
6. Blog more...
7. Get out of my make-up rut/Be more daring with make-up (wear more lipstick etc)

There are also some silly goals I'd like to throw in there, for example to get a puppy or own a Celine bag... a girl can dream!

I have lots to look forward to this year, including my new baby sibling arriving in May! I definitely intend to make this year one of the best...

Now I'm off to nurse my hangover and enjoy the last of my lazy days before heading back to work later this week.
