Fashion Week Favourites #3

Double the love for the D&G and Dolce &Gabbana collections.

This D&G collection is just sooo pretty!!! The runway was gorgeous, floral decoration to compliment the collection.  I love the massive bags, wedges, aprons and sunglasses.  The playful use of Disney's Snow White was lovely to. The floaty floral maxi dresses are just divine, this collection is a massive hit for me!

Another beautiful collection at Dolce & Gabbana full of white lace. I love these pretty, dainty collections.  I love the cuts of these garments, the use of white on white, the cropped jacket, the infusion of the crystals in the lace and the use of the leopard print and floral print against the lace.

All in all love, love, love the collections from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana!

Also just to add I think the model Anna Selezneva is so beautiful!!! (Image 4 from Dolce & Gabbana)

What do you think of the collections?

Fashion Week Favourites #2

Burberry are always one of my favourites.  Surprisingly, this season I wasn't completely blown away by the entire collection. However, I was blown away by the studded leather biker jackets. WOW!

What do you think about Burberry this season?

Fashion Week Favourites #1

I have already expressed my love for the Erdem SS11 collection so I thought I would review my favourite looks and collections so far for the coming Spring Summer season.

I love this collection.  After Burberry and now Balmain I am definately ditching the idea of an aviator and investing in a leather biker jacket.  I'm a sucker for a bit of grunge, studs and leather so  for me Christophe Decarnin's designs are pure perfection! I love the contrast of the dirty heroin chic looks and the clean cut tailored looks, especially the white blazer and silver trousers.  The collection seemed to flow effortlessly on from some of the styles of this AW but giving them a fresh edge.

What do you think of Balmain?

Woodland Fairies...

My all time favourite collection at LFW was Erdem!!!

Here are some of my top pics from www.style.com.

The lace garments were my favourite.  I shall be looking for some A/W pieces I can purchase to take through to SS.

What did you think of Erdem's collection?

Who was your favourite from LFW?

LFW #2 - The Shows

I attended a variety of shows at LFW, including: Louise Gray, Basso & Brooke, Charlie Le Mindu and Louise Amstrup. Next season I hope to be able to attend a lot more shows.

Louise Gray:

Louise Gray's collection was playful and colourful.  Details included embroidery, mirrors, plastic, ribbons, streamers and bottle tops.  It reminded me of after a childrens party if you combined all the left over elements and gave it a fairground/circus edge it would create this collection.

Basso & Brooke:

This has to be my favourite collection that I saw at LFW.  The collection had a feel of 'Olde England' mixing prints of old script/font, maps and roses.  The prints were lovely as were the colours.  The key pieces for SS 11 seem to be skater skirts and shirts and 60's shift dresses. The collection very much echoed all designers that this season 70's is the era of choice!

Charlie Le Mindu:

This collection was certainly risque! But amazing non the less, so glad I got to watch it! Nude models, hairy catsuits, Fluro wigs and the Blow up Doll and Amber Rose (who was everywhere) front row!

Louise Amstrup:

I really loved this collection.  The colours, designs and materials all worked so well together to make a beautiful collection.

My review for this show was actually published on Planetnotion.com!

LFW #1

London Fashion Week September 2010 was my first ever involvement in Fashion Week.  It has me hooked, although it was extremely exhausting, I LOVED it!

For 2 days of LFW (Saturday and Sunday) I worked for Notion Magazine.  This involved promoting the magazines supplement Hipsters Handbook and attending and reviewing some shows.
