Autumn/Winter 2011 Inspiration... Part 3

Dolce & Gabbana

Style.com

Like polka-dots, star print seems to be everywhere on the high-street.  It's the detailing and silhouettes of this collection that inspire me the most.

The heavily embellished gold shift dress, the sheer pussybow blouses/dresses, the skinny sequin trousers and lace detailing are    details that I will hopefully be able to find this A/W.

Loafer Love..

Continuing my slight obsession with filling my new Autumn/Winter wardrobe...

Loafers

From Tophop, Aldo, ASOS, Sam Edelman

Think I'll be investing in some.  Definitely a huge fan of the glitter or studded ones!

The hunt for the Perfect Winter Coat...

As I explained in my last post, I am on the hunt for the perfect winter coat.  Be it tailored, a cape or a luxe parka.

It is important to choose the right one as I will be in Manchester   back at University and its is mighty cold up north!

Here is some of my inspiration and favourites from the high-street so far.

The Row

Designed by my favourite twins; Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. I may already have fur, this doesn't stop me wanting to add some more.

Altuzarra

To me this is the epitome of the perfect Luxe Parka.

DKNY

And on the High Street...

River Island

ASOS

Zara

Topshop

House of Fraser
These are a small selection of coats I have seen whilst browsing the internet.  I also have seen some perfect examples in Zara (stores) and in H&M.

Too much choice!

Winter Dilemma...

So it looks like Winter is going to be upon us sooner than we think.  The weather in London this week has resembled that of October!

So this poses me with a dilemma, what Winter coat do I invest in?

My 'go-to' trusty winter attire involved LOTS of leather and fur.

Now, when I write down what I already have in my wardrobe, it sounds as though I don't need a new coat... but I do!

My-Wardrobe

This guide from My-Wardrobe has been very helpful.  I already have a sixties shift coat, a winter trench and a red coat, as well as lot of leather and fur.

Therefore, I have narrowed it down to 3 options: Tailored, Cape and Luxe Parka.

Where do I begin???

Cuff Love...

I am already a proud owner of a YSL Arty Oval ring (doesn't stop me wanting to be the owner of 2 or 3 or 4, you get the point...) but the other day I stumbled upon this beauty.

Wouldn't mind this tribal one either.

Time to start building my YSL Arty collection I think.

Autumn/Winter 2011 Inspiration... Part 2

Balmain, another favourite of mine. I love the contrast of the simplistic silhouettes with the intricate/heavy embellishment. Grunge/Rock/Chic...

Here are some looks that will be inspiring me this season.

Metallics are heavily favoured in this selection and they seem to be a timeless trend for A/W.  My favourite look has to be the embellished longsleeve dress; will be on the hunt for the perfect one.

The high-street already has some great pieces to achieve Balmain's look...

Sequin Dress - Zara

Tuxedo Blazer - White

Metallic Silver Trousers - Zara

Metallic Tee - ASOS
I'm sure as the Christmas season closes in there will be a lot more metallics and heavy embellished pieces.

Can't wait!

Autumn/Winter 2011 Inspiration... Part 1

I finally have a new laptop (so in love!).  So I can finally start to blog properly again, yay!

For the past few weeks I have been studying the September Issues and weekly magazines, I always find it exciting to see how the retailers interpret the trends.

Safe to say I'm finding it hard to limit the list of what I want to buy for the upcoming season...

Inspiration No. 1 - DKNY

H&M - £12.99

Zara - £35.99
H&M
This was one of my favourite collections, it automatically looks so wearable/effortless, almost as if everyone outfit was inspired by a chic New Yorker on the street.

Unfortunately, my budget cannot stretch to DKNY but I have seen a few pieces in Zara and H&M that can help achieve the DKNY look, aswell as pairing with items I already have in my wardrobe. I'm sure there will be lots of other items becoming available on the high-street.

I love the looks, simple pieces all layered; jumpers, shirts, skirts, jacket, coats and hats! The mixture of bright, neutral and classic tones.

Definately on the look out for a tailored coat or cape a la DKNY.

Love Love Love.
